The International Commission on Benedictine Education serves as a global representative body for schools and colleges operated by the Order of Saint Benedict. Its primary aim is to foster collaboration and maintain the distinct Benedictine identity—characterised by the Rule of Saint Benedict—within educational settings across the world. The commission facilitates the biennial Benet (Benedictine Educators Network) conferences, providing a platform for heads and teachers to share pedagogical practices rooted in values such as hospitality, stewardship, and community. It operates as a consultative body under the authority of the Abbot Primat of the Benedictine Confederation.
