Ofsted is the government’s inspectorate for education and care in England. For private schools that are not inspected by the ISI, Ofsted checks whether they provide a good standard of teaching, safeguard pupils effectively, and comply with regulations. Its inspections aim to give parents clear, independent information about how well a school is supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
